Location: Nyamirami Community, Kasese District, Uganda

Nkuliza Foundation is committed to empowering women with practical, income-generating skills that strengthen families and build resilient communities. Through this project, we aim to equip 50 mothers from the Saad Islamic School community with the knowledge and resources to establish sustainable mushroom farming enterprises.

Background

Women’s empowerment through skill development and entrepreneurship can significantly improve their socio-economic status. The soap and detergent industry is a viable sector for women because it requires minimal investment, offers flexible working hours, and has a high demand in local markets.

Support participants with poultry management skills, improved breeds, starter equipment, and business development training.

Train participants in modern beekeeping practices, honey harvesting, processing, packaging, and marketing.

Train farmers in improved farming practices, kitchen gardening, soil conservation, water management, and value addition to increase food security and household incomes.
